Great views and well worth the wait. Even in shoulder season and cold weather, there were still queues for a timed ticket, particularly on a sunny day. We had the New York Pass, and whilst the pass has been valuable for a range of activities, it wasn’t very beneficial here except for making this ‘free’ using the pass. If you don’t have a pass, book a time slot online. If you have the pass, you have to queue at the ticket booth to convert the pass into a timed entry ticket (which is stupid really as you should be able to do this online). We queued at 9.30am on a sunny day for about an hour, and got a timed entry ticket for early that afternoon. I recommend going to the ticket booth the day before, in the afternoon, to get a timed entry ticket for your chosen time the next day. When we rolled up for our entry there were minimal people waiting at the booth... When you enter at your designated time, it is quick and efficient to go up to the observation deck with no queues.

Bought our tickets for Top of the Rock on our phone and I highly recommend others do the same; can do it the day before or same day and it’s still a time saver! We got to choose our time, show up, bypass the huge line outside at dusk, and walk through security. I overheard a guard telling those in line that the next available time was in 4 hours so again, get your tickets in advance.

Top of the Rock is less expensive than going up the Empire State, with just as great views (including being able to actually see Empire State from way up there). It can be a bit crowded at sunset but if you’re patient you can get some great pictures without obstruction.

One of our favorite attractions in NYC.

Had done my research on the place and found out that going up top of the rock will be cheaper and less queue compare to the empire state building.. Paying almost $40 per person to go up the highest point of Rockefeller center.

The view is alright. You can see even the empire state building from here and also central park. You can even see the liberty statue but from far of course.

Will I go up here again, I might not, 1 time should be enough.

Lines are much shorter than The Empire State Building. Try to make it up during the sunset. Beautiful!! Awesome views of the Empire State Building.

Well, yes, it's an iconic building and the views are magnificent but at $ 36 per person this is an expensive 30 minutes or so. If you want the photo they take of you then even more expensive.
