“A different view of Manhattan”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

Loved the different views we had of the river and the city. It was a quiet walk down to the Chelsea area, quite different from the noisy streets. Lots of seating and viewing places. We had the company of a local which made it much more interesting as they could fill us in on lots of details.

“A Delightful Stroll”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

This is a great place to walk to avoid the sidewalk hustle in the Chelsea District. You can enter on 30th Street at 10th Avenue by elevator and walk south. There are several stair access areas along the way. There are many plantings along the old railroad tracks and a great way to see more of the city from a higher view. Lots of new construction along the way and great sights!

“Be Sure to Walk the High Line”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

It is a new way to see the City, and alot of fun. Also, you can come off, have lunch, and get back on. There are nice restaurants along the route.

“Urban renewal at its best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2012

Fabulous! I recommend walking north to south - you start in the wilderness and gradually enter the residential areas. You end near the Chelsea Markets - good food and good shopping. Allow lots of time as it really is a magical walk. A beautiful example of private investment for public good.
