Chimichurri could have just as easily been located in the middle of Buenos Aires and you wouldn't even notice, such is the level of authenticity of this place. The venue itself is not necessarily special, although its combination of austerity and vintage warmth (a gold-framed turn-of-the-century mirror hangs from one of the walls, pictures and quintessential 'porteno' details add to the genuine vibe), but the service and food are where Chimichurri truly excels. The steak was really good, as was the provoleta, and of course the wine. The dulce de leche creme brulee was an unexpected hit! A must for those who lust after the perfect steak, and a delight for Argentinian cuisine lovers!

Had a great dinner here on Friday night, we enjoyed the meatball appetizer. My wife had the special fish, a whole Branzino, served butterflied. Very good. I had the flat iron steak with was a nice sized piece of meat which was cooked perfectly.

Great service (water glass never got to half empty) in a nice and small space, at very good prices for NYC

Excellent Argentinian dining! Empanada and grilled octopus appetizer were amazing. Had the entrana and it was also very good and cooked to our liking. We ordered a dulce de leche crepe that was delicious. Great wine list from Argentina. The restaurant is very small, but the service makes up for it.

I happen to love anything to do with Chimichurri sauce, so when I found a review for this restaurant I couldn't resist the urge to try it. Glad I did. Had some of the best grilled oysters ever, and the steak - though a tad fatty - was delicious. And, of course, the sauce. My wife had a fish dish - Bronzino - which was also excellent. Even the desert (I had rice pudding) was excellent. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Only minor complaints are that it is a rather small restaurant and the tables are bit cramped ... and, when you start adding in side dishes, the cost goes from mid-range to the higher end of the spectrum. Great find. It's my new go-to restaurant pre-theater.

Went to the new restaurant for the opening day. The decoration is simple and chic, the service absolutely perfect (kind and friendly), and we had the best beef steaks ever. We strongly recommend.
