Finally an affordable hotel that's cool (and not seedy) and at a great location. Perfect for two people on the go. Modern furnishings, quiet hallways, great AC, plenty of hot water and one of the best affordable, open-air rooftop bars around. We'll be back!

I stayed in one of the bunk bed rooms with my 78 year old uncle (Detroit raised, US Expat living in Germany, bicycling enthusiast). This was the perfect place for us--very comfortable beds, good outlet access for our electronic devices, clean and modern, and a great base for lots of walking, subway rides, and buses. Were were there over the 4th of July and enjoyed watching the fireworks and dancing on the rooftop (there was an extra $35 charge for hotel guests for rooftop access for the 4th). The breakfast provided for an extra charge was a bit heavy on the carbs, but great conversation with the man who runs the breakfast service. There is fresh fruit & other food items nearby available for sale. We were older than most of the guests, but they were from all over world and staff and guests were very friendly and helpful, we fit right in, great time!

If you’re going to New York alone or with your significant other and will ONLY be sleeping in the room and not hanging out. Then this hotel is the one to get. The shower was nice and the room was very clean. But just like the hotel suggests of course all rooms are “Pod” like Rooms. So if you are someone used to big amounts of space you will feel very claustrophobic. This was perfect for me as I was going on a quick 2 day business trip to New York and this was very close to where I needed to be.
