This hotel was amazing. Stayed in New York a few times and this has to be one of the best hotels, not only in NY, but overall. Right near Hell's Kitchen (great vibe and tons of restaurants). Hotel staff was so helpful and friendly, not in an overbearing way. HOTEL FANTASTIC! CLEAN, more than enough space, extremely cool and modern. had a fantastic view from the shower ;), cool terrace for morning breakfast (pretty basic, but good coffee and fresh muffins, which is more than enough). and for cocktails (cocktails were a bit pricey though). has a gym, restaurant available, free wifi (and many available computers if you dont have a laptop). super convenient for people checking in/out earlier. i am usually skeptical about leaving my luggage at the hotel lobby, but the storage is super safe (gives youa receipt and password) and operated by a robot lol! always alive! close to 42nd street which is good for subway, theatres, etc.... price was very reasonable considering the other hotels in the city that dont even offer a private bathroom. overall, 10/10! i will definitely be staying here again! thanks Yotel!!!

Very modern and trendy, friendly staff. Would recommend if you're 30ish and under or at least young at heart. Rooms are small, open concept toilet/shower area, so if you need privacy to do your business, this is not the place for you!! Outside shower does get a puddle and beds are firm, but we liked that and had fantastic sleeps. Housekeeping leaves a little to be desired, the hotel is new, so it's clean for now, but if they keep doing a slack job of cleaning it won't stay nice for long. Great location, close to Broadway, Times Square, lots to see, do, and eat within walking distance.

Great hotel. We arrived at 2:30 in the morning and there were plenty of staff to help us out. After we checked in, Emanuel "Manny" showed us to our room and noticed that our AC was not working properly. He immediately called for an engineer to come and fix the AC. He said that if the engineer could not fix the AC, then he would move us to a better room.

The room was small, but very modern. I loved the rain shower head. The view was amazing. We could see the Hudson River and Times Square! I would recommend going to Yotel. Great location, great price, great little modern room.

We stayed here for one night mid-August. We arrived early (at about 11:30) and was told by the employee in the lobby to go ahead and use the kiosk to check in and if there was a problem that meant the room wasn't ready yet. He walked us through it and we were pleasantly surprised that the room was ready. We had to stop at "Mission Control" with a ticket to get keys as there was supposedly a problem with issuing them at the kiosk. We were not greeted when we arrived at "Mission Control." There were about four very young-looking employees at the desk but none of them ever even said "hello." They were in the middle of a conversation (albeit an entertaining one) and finally one looked at us while the rest continued talking. She never greeted us, just stared. So my husband handed her the ticket. She slid us two keys across the counter and still didn't say anything. So we figured out how to get to the room ourselves. Terrible customer service.

The room was nice. Comfortable. Lots of places to store things. Looked like it was straight out of an Ikea catalog. It was already showing signs of wear though. (Scuff marks, paint chipping off of the wall.) When we got there the shade was pulled down about halfway. When i pulled it up I saw greasy prints on the window. Looked like they just pulled the shade instead of washing the window. Everything else in the room, however, was clean.
We were on the 12th floor and had a spectacular view straight out to the Hudson. That was nice.

I went to the galley at night and had a hot chocolate. When I went back in the morning for coffee, the machine said the K-cup bin was full and didn't look like it could be accessed to empty without a key. Since it was still continental breakfast time I just went downstairs and got a cup. Not a deal breaker, but inconvenient.

Upon checkout we were helped again with the kiosk by one of the lobby employees. The lobby employees are very pleasant. The "Mission Control" kids could take some tips from them. Check out was smooth. We asked to store our bags for the remainder of the day and the employee happily took them and gave us check stubs. When we came back to retrieve them some hours later we handed another employee the stubs and told him someone had taken our bags for us earlier that morning. He sent us to the Yobot and told us the follow the instructions and then scan our receipts from the morning. We told him we just handed them to him. He looked at what we'd handed them and said they weren't the right ones. He was confused. He asked us if we used the Yobot. Again we told him we were helped by a lobby employee who told us he'd store our bags and gave us those stubs. He then figured it out. Apparently our bags were not stored in the Yobot cubbies but somewhere else in the building as he disappeared into the elevator and returned with them about five minutes later. As we were waiting for our bags a few other groups came in to retrieve their luggage as well. Same confusion. We saw the robot arm perform numerous demos over the two days but not once did we see anyone use it for real. Not sure why. It seems more of an efficient way to store bags.

The location was far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be quiet but only about a 10 minute walk from times square (7 minutes from the subway.) So that was great.

Would I stay here again? If I got the $149/night deal again then sure. At the regular advertised rates? Probably not.
