This is a very heavy museum. We thought our ten year olds could handle it but they could not. We will wait a few years until they can.

Top 3 experiences of NYC!!! Can’t recommend this enough!!! Get the 10 dollar audio guide easy to work and no issues. Took about 2.5 hours. Then go across street and eat at Oharas which is wall to wall badges of first responders around world that have visited here. Cute tshirts for 15 dollars.

The ambience inside was very sore because it is made from the remnants of the original towers. There were so many things on display from the actual 911 site and it was well worth our money plus more. This was a five star experience and I would recommend it for anyone going to New York or area. There was not a long way, but there was a security check in the very beginning of the front door. It was so wonderful for a solo experience or for a family.

This was hard for us. We had seen all the TV footage a dozen times before, but this museum brought the pain level down to a personal level. Both my hubby and I teared up at different sections.

Super important to see, but I never want to visit again.

We recently visited the 911 Memorial along with the museum guided tour. Although you can visit the memorial and walk around, the guided tour gives you more of an in depth explanation of everything, and is well worth the extra. The whole place is a deeply moving experience, especially for those of us of a certain age who watched the news during this awful event. The museum is extremely interesting, with all the photos, and exhibits on display.
