Owner description: We believe in Food Tour Freedom. Whatever ticket type you choose you get to eat what you want and how much you want. We think that's much more fun! Very unique subway and/or walking experiences available as part of a guided public tour or guided private tour that is different from most standard guided food tours. We also offer self-guided On Your Own Experiences which are food walk-throughs of various New York neighborhoods and are designed to help save you money over eating in tourist restaurants. Our self-guided On Your Own Experiences can be used as a tour, a list or as a tour first to sample and you can return to your favorites for full meals. Each Experience also includes some low cost breakfast options near major tourist attractions. Our guided tours are true eating tours, not sampling tours and we also offer restaurant recommendations (as noted in many reviews) on our guided tours to help you eat well and save money for the rest of your trip. You'll see non-tourist neighborhoods in a relaxed manner and while on the guided tours you will be mingling with others from around the world in a larger group format that is much like a field trip. For those who do want to experience great restaurants and save money we offer our Customized Restaurant Concierge Service. This is a personal service available through by contacting us directly that helps you save and eat great based on your lodging location, attractions you are seeing, food preferences and budget. To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the world's melting pot its many cuisines is its shared culture. Food On Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and foot.

I won this trip to New York. My husband and I had never been, so there was so much to choose to do as far as tours & places to see. The Food on Foot Tour sounded interesting and we are SO glad we went. Corey was very friendly and told us exactly what to expect. We loved meeting and talking to others on the tour, from all over the world. It was great to try different foods, in out of the way places that we never would have tried otherwise. I highly recommend this tour to anyone. If we ever go to NYC again, we'll book another one of Cory's Food on Foot Tours. Thanks for the great experience!!

My friends and I had bought the New-York Pass and could experience this tour for free, so we decided to book the midtown west tour. First we met Corey, the CEO/owner, in Penn Station where he gave us a run through of the tour and got everyone to introduce themselves, so we could get to know people from the group. Then we went on to eat great NY Pizza, Mexican tacos, Great sandwiches, and various pastries/deserts. The food was DELICIOUS, especially the pastries. We spent about 30$ between my girlfriend and I. We did split food at most stops, like Corey had suggested when he gave us info about the tour. Even if we didn't eat full meals at every stop, it kept us full for the day. Corey also shared great recommendations for inexpensive non chain restaurants according to the groups preferred location and answered any questions we had. We used several of his recommendations during our trip and were very pleased with each of his recommendations. It actually made our trip more enjoyable since we eat great food for a great price during our entire trip without having to make reservations or wait in line at touristy restaurants. One thing to remember is that you can spend more than 15$ if you count the metro pass and you don't split the food between group members, but remember the metro pass will be very useful during your trip and you only need a few bites to taste the incredible food.

We were a little concerned by the booking system, which really made u think if this tour was for u! The meeting point also tests out your abilities to find where u are in NYC - but it is well worth the effort! U are led around by a true foodie - Cory - who is straight talking but after the one thing we all want - good and cheap food options.
Tour heavily involves mingling amongst participants and we came away with friends from various parts of the world - and most importantly places to eat for the trip and any future return - oh yes we will!
Nothing strenuous and enough time and choice of things to eat that everyone left happy. Thanks Cory - u did a great job

Thanks for the great review and thanks for getting so much out of the tour. Just to clarify, our booking process is simple. Just order directly through our website and it's done. You probably ordered through an affiliate partner and that sometimes involves extra steps. Thanks again for the kind words.
