“Dream Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2012

What better way to share a holiday in New York with your 4 sisters staying at Radio City Apartments. We felt like kids again.
This hotel is central to 5th Ave and Time Sqare, we walked non stop, shopped and what else can I say!
Radio City Apts an older boutique hotel met our needs to a "T". With 5 girls taking tons of showers we appeared to have an endless supply of fresh fluffy towels. Bed linens were always fresh and the bathroom spotless. We had a galley kitchen complete with all amenities. Three large flat screen TV's althouh we did not use them much, who needs TV in New York City. Great front desk staff who made our stay what a dream is made of! See you soon.

Room Tip: We had a 2 bedroom suite with three queen beds. Not always east to accomodate 5 adults

Radio City Suites are probably the best kept secret in Manhattan. Rather than the usual matchbox sized, overpriced rooms, the Radio City Suites are HUGE living spaces that give you and your fellow travelers room to stretch out, breathe and relax! We got a 1 bedroom apartment complete with two large (and quite comfy) queen sized beds, a living room with dining area and sleeper sofa, AND a kitchenette! The bathroom is small, but sufficient with a fully functioning hot shower. And CLEAN! The staff was more than adequate and they even let us check in at 10:30am, well before the usual 3pm check-in time. If you are looking for luxury and high tech, no, this is not the place. It is pretty no-frills but has everything one needs and more. There is also FREE Wifi, also unheard of in Manhattan. But the absolute best thing is the location. It is right around the corner from Times Square and a few steps away from Radio City Music Hall. We literally could walk to anything we needed, wanted to eat, see or buy! I will never stay anywhere else in Manhattan ever again.

I booked here on Priceline at $125 after failing to find any 3-star hotel for $150 or less. This is a very nice, well-run older place-- more like an apartment building than a hotel, except it has a very good 24/7 lobby staff-- in a wonderful location, a half-block from Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center. Helpful lobby staff, neat and clean rooms. My room had a kitchenette that I did not use, but could be helpful to many guests. A great midtown place for a reasonable price.

This is a great, reasonably priced hotel which is perfect for families. We are a family of five. It was great that my husband and I had our own bedroom with a queen sized bed and our three children had their own room with two double beds. There was also a small living area and kitchenette. The fridge was so nice to have to store leftover food from restaurants as well as my Diet Cokes! All of the subway lines are so very convenient and Times Square is just blocks away. The American Girl Doll store was only a few blocks away which was so perfect for our two girls. We had some trouble with our hot water for the shower. It did take them several trips over several days to get it completely fixed. I must say that was quite bothersome. The beds are rock hard but noise at night was not an issue. Of course, we were on the 12th floor so that may have made a difference with the street noise.

Room Tip: Our room on the 12th floor was great since there was no outside street noise at night. Of course, t...

The plans for our original accommodations fell threw and we wound up at the Radio City Apartments. We couldn't be happier. The best three things about this hotel is location, location, and location. Walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, shopping, numerous theaters, and great restaurants. Our first night in NYC we walked to the Empire State Building. And there's an NQR subway station less than a block away. It's a great old building that has been fairly well renovated while still holding on to many of the original features the give it character. And the price is right.

We had one bedroom with two double beds and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Plenty of room for four. Car horns and sirens made sleeping difficult at times, but I guess that's New York. The room had a kitchenette (sink, microwave, small gas stove and tiny refrigerator), adequate for quick meals. (The smoke alarm went off every time we used the oven, probably because it was just a few feet from the kitchen. We learned to open a window when using the oven.) There was renovation going on across the hall, but it did not disturb us at all. Everything was very clean -- maid service only when requested. The staff was pleasant and very helpful; quickly replaced a malfunctioning iron, held our luggage after checkout, and gave us great directions and recommendations.

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Radio City Apartments.
