Beautiful inside and out. Currently outside renovations have scaffolding around the outside. A great cathedral to visit to learn about your faith.

“Peace and Beauty resides here !”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

This is a beautiful cathedral that takes you to a different day and age. The minute you step into this church, you are transformed to a world so much quieter, sane and peacuful from the super busy 5th avenue. The design and architecture is commendable. It may not be Roman, but no less either. It is beautiful in its own right. It is huge, yet never noisy. People/tourists are always walking inside, taking pictures and admiring the sculptures and the statues. There is a statue of Mary and Christ behind the main altar(in the center) which is larger than life and my favorite. Everyone finds something here and leaves with an unexplained sense of peace. You don't even have to be religious, you just have to be here. If you are in Newyork city visiting, this is definitely a must see. This is also a popular background spot on tv series and movies. Visit during Chritsmas, even better. You can add the icing of the famous NY christmas tree just across the street at yet another famous NY site - The Rockefeller center. Hope you enjoy your visit.

I visit St Pat's everytime we are in Manhattan. It's just so lovely. If you can attend mass, do so.. it's a true experience.

This is one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in. Even if you are not the worshipping type, it is worth stopping in.
