Stayed at The Strand for one week. Was a bit wary because of some bad reviews. However really enjoyed my stay.Stayed in the King room, nice comfy bed room was of a good size, bathroom was average sized for 2 people.Free robes, towels, toiletries, umbreall all provided for.No problems with the room except would have been handy to have a fridge in there and also a less noisy air-con.Apart from that the hotel is in a good location to the local subway and Times Square.
Also the free wifi at the hotel is a bonus,
Roof top bar at The Strand was great, nice views of Empire State Building. The staff were all lovely too.Overall nice boutique hotel,Would recommend highly.
