This place wears well. We stayed here for 5 days. Everyday we found something more to love. The primary reason for our visit was to see shows, but we did some sightseeing during the days, too. Everything was accessible by foot or by the subway via Grand Central Station, if need be (an easy walk). The staff is extremely helpful with any overlooked detail. They are all charming yet unobtrusive. We loved the convenience of breakfast in the hotel and, though we did not avail ourselves of the complimentary afternoon wine and cheese, once we found Tony's (the adjacent, excellent Italian restaurant), we realized this was a wonderful, easy way to be in the city. The Casablanca doesn't ooze luxury, but it's extremely cozy with wonderful attention to the needs of the traveler. It feels like a clean, comfortable, upgraded, inviting home. Such a sanctuary in the middle of Times Square. It would be tough to convince us to stay anyplace else next time.
