Enjoyed a long weekend at The Mark. Wonderful service, a great location & loaner bikes to enjoy Central Park. Not inexpensive but good value.
- Free Wifi
- Breakfast included
We (a family with 2 children) spent 5 days at The Mark. It was phantastic. The building offers you all the electronic equipment that you want. B&O TV, very nice furniture. The hotel stuff makes you feel all the time like a real guest, they are always very friendly and are organizing everything you want to (cards for museum, Taxi, Restaurants ...). The Restaurant in the hotel is very good!
What else: gym in hotel is very good.
The location of The mark is very good, in a quiet little street between the Central Park and Madison Avenue, within walking distance to the hot-spots of the city (for example 20 min. to the Apple Cube) and only 2 minutes to Central Park!
I can recommend The Mark, on our next trip to NY we will stay again in this hotel.
We recently had a wonderful stay at The Mark. Aesthetically, the hotel is extremely elegant and sophisticated. The service was also fabulous. The staff was friendly and professional. They personalized our experience upon check in by making us smile in the elevator and while giving us the detailed tour of our room. The next morning, we ordered room service from The Mark Restaurant. Everything was perfect and it was delivered on time. The table that was brought in was set up right by one of our windows. We enjoyed the view while eating our delicious breakfast.
The Mark is a perfect alternative to any of the busier hotels in midtown. It's quiet and spacious, whereas many other New York City hotels fail to give guests that much needed break from the "hustle and bustle" The Mark did just that. Since our first trip, we've recommended the hotel to our close friends and they had a very similar pleasant experience. We can't wait to stay at The Mark Hotel again.
I've stayed here several times for business. The upper East Side location was a little inconvenient for a rash of mid-town and downtown meetings, but the trade-off was having a different kind of experience. There's a more personal and relaxed feel here that is missing in the typical high-end business-oriented properties. Staff is friendly. Rooms have tons of great amenities, including extra walk-in closets off the bathroom and vanishing TVs in the over-sink mirrors... great for bath time! Glass ceiling in the restaurant makes breakfast very pleasant. Smallish in feel, in the New York way.
We recently had a fabulous stay at The Mark hotel. Everything from the service to the rooms to the aesthetics of the hotel was perfect. Aesthetically, the hotel is beautiful, elegant, and sophisticated. Located on a beautiful and quiet tree-lined street on the Upper East Sid, it is removed from the hustle and bustle of the city and within walking distance to some of the best shops and museums in NYC. The staff was very professional, friendly, and provided great hospitality. The room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom was large and included some great amenities. As an individual, who has stayed in many hotels all over the world, I would highly recommend The Mark to anyone visiting NYC!
Fantastic service, lovely rooms, nice location, and sadly in this day and age if you want any kind of service you have to pay for it, no point paying for a sub standard 4 star, might as well pull up a bit more and get treated properly, in lovely surrounding, nice bar area.
