Very over rated. Extremely packed you had to battle your way through to walk down the street, was expecting something wonderful but there was nothing except a few kids dancing and grown ups wearing costumes wanting you to pay them for letting you have photos taken with them.

We hosted an exchange student from South Korea. He loved Times Square. We are from a rural town in Ohio. We wanted him to experience different places in the US. Times Square was his number 1 pick. It was also our first time. The city was cleaner than we expected.

Plenty to do with buildings all lit up with advertising. Lots to see and a must visit. Buzzing with activity and street dancers all over

One of my least favourite parts info nyc. Its just too touristy and tracky. Obviously you have to visit when you take your family to nyc and the lights are spectacular and hurt your eyes on a dark night

Who would miss the experience? Any visitor to New York just has to visit Times Square - it's brash, garish, frantic, and breathtaking! You just have to keep moving and drink in the experience. Go for it!

Great fun lots of energy around and so much to do. People watching is so much fun but so many people seem to walk around with their heads stuck in a cell phone surprised they actually see or remember anything after their visit

This place is just buzzing, so busy and the lights are great. There is a good vibe and so much going on around here. Visit if in NYC

My family of young adult and teenage children walked through times square in the first snow storm of 2018. We were not very impressed with the overwhelming media billboards and throngs of people. We much more enjoyed the historic district of mid town Manhattan.

Always very impressive to watch the massive screens displaying their adverts and always heaving with people. There’s not actually a great deal to do there apart from shopping or eating but lots of people taking photos

Of all the places in NYC, times square is one place I would avoid in future. Loads of aggressive street vendors trying to sell NY experience tickets who racially abused you when you decline their offer.
Pop in to see the signs etc, but move on
