Mini frig, microwave, bfast included, laundry, good wifi. Old TV. Helpful, friendly girl at front. Nice extras like a sample size toothpaste and nice disposable razor. Newly Renovated motel 8 probably. Very clean. Nice bedding. Asked for ground level and view of back rather than parking lot as well as extra pillows. She was able to accommodate all but the rear facing room. Plus Recommended the rim rock restaurant ( directly across from best western and holiday inn) more toward capital reef on 24 about 3 miles from our hotel.
Red Sands is directly off of scenic byway 12 and about 10 miles from Capital Reef.

Stayed a few days in March before a lot was going on in Torrey or Capitol Reef. No complaints. Very friendly and helpful staff. Took time to explain what restaurants were open in town. Overheard staff helping other guests plan their camping trips and giving detailed driving directions. Clean rooms. Seems like is a slightly remodeled Super 8. Nothing fancy, but a good choice for those who want to save $ and who don't spend a lot of time at the hotel. No complaints.

there is a restaurant on the premises , its off the road and if you have doggies , there is a great place to walk them out back, the tv gets about 6 channels of nonsense, the rooms are slightly overpriced , yet the 2 things in thier favor are they give veterans a discount and dogs are welcome , plus a great walking area for your pets away from the highway

Room Tip: if you have pets get a room in the back, all the rooms are paper thin walls , but if your pets are y...

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was quiet as well. Staff was friendly. The included breakfast in the morning was good.
The only awkward was at check-in. We booked a room to a regular rate months in advance. At time of check-in we asked if they offered a discount for AAA members. The lady at the front desk didn’t want to accept our international SYC+S club card although explicit written on the AAA page. This wouldn’t have been an issue to us if she at least had accepted our booked regular rate. But we had quite an argument until she then accept our reservation. Luckily in the end we could check-in to our regular reserved room.

Hotel staff are very friendly. Rooms were better than the average independent hotel. Breakfast was good. They have a number of sugar-free items for diabetics. Malted waffles were better than average. Indoor pool and hot tub were welcome after hard days of hiking.

Room Tip: The back side may be quieter but traffic is not bad.
