Description: Closed for the winter. See you May 2016 It’s vacation time on Cape Cod! You and your family want to have lots of fun and eat some fresh seafood. Family owned and operated since 1983, Moby Dick’s is THE Cape Cod seafood restaurant for friends and families to meet, eat and just have a good time. Taking the New England clam shack to a new level, we will offer you and your family a great experience. We may not be full service, but we deliver great service. The freshest seafood, the best lobsters, Wellfleet littlenecks, Wellfleet oysters, Chatham Cod, fried clams and clam chowder are just a few of the local items we serve up daily. We aim to be the best. Kid-friendly is our middle name. We have a large Kid’s menu not to mention some fun coloring sheets as well. We welcome guests needing a gluten-free menu. We love large groups, small groups, any group. We would be delighted to host your special Cape Cod event. We are a BYOB establishment so grab your favorite beer or wine and head right over. We look forward to meeting you! Open at 11:30 am everyday for lunch and dinner from the first Friday in May to Columbus Day.

“Quick service”

Actually you order food from a window and sit down at a table. Fast, good if you have young children. Good selection of fresh local seafood.

“Family Tradition”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2012

Moby's and I are the same age. My family has been going to Moby's every year and the thing we love most is the consistancy of the food and service. My husband is now included on the annual visit and is a huge fan, especially of last summer's special-the Scallop and Bacon sandwhich. Moby's clam chowder is my favorite clam chowder-full of wonderful chuncks of potatoes and tender pieces of clams. YUM!
Don't expect 5 star dining-it's a family-friendly seafood place where you place your order and pay up front and then get a seat at a picnic table with red and white heavy vinyl table cloths. The walls by the register are lined with pictures of Moby Dick's t-shirt clad fanatics posed all over the world-from The top of the Empire State Building to the basecamp of Mt. Everest. Is there any doubt that people love this place?

“Don't forget to BYOB”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 December 2011

The line can be intimidating, but don't let it scare you away. The line moves quite fast. You can bring your own alcohol in and they will give you a bucket of ice for beers or what-not. This is where my family eats our lobsters. Food is always fresh and tasty.

Service is friendly and usually a college student from here or abroad. The owner Mignon is usually around making sure things are going well and is always fun to chat with for a minute.

“The Real Deal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2011

There are a number of summer seafood places but Moby Dick's is the best. It has an indoor outdoor feeling and decor that lets you know you're on the Outer Cape and then they deliver excellently prepared food. The fish is freshly cooked. The lobsters aren't soggy. Management is very friendly and attentive to what's going on in the kitchen and the dining area. You do have to get in line at the counter and order your own food so you may not want to put up with the dinner wait on the Fourth of July weekend. You better bring your own beer or wine because they don't offer it.

“Friendly Owners - food fine.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2011

We visit Moby's every time we come to the Cape. It isn't a fine dining joint, and the food is family fodder - but we've never been disappointed. Our boys enjoy the atmosphere and Todd and Mignon recognise us pasty Brits each year. Don't expect bells and whistles and definitely bring your own bottle(s)!
