“GORGEOUS view, good food but overpriced!”
Reviewed 28 April 2012

The Marine Room overall is very good! The view is absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious but definitely over priced. We dined here for our anniversary and it was a nice venue considering the occasion, but it's not a restaurant we could afford to visit on a regular basis.

“A perfect happy hour in every way!”
Reviewed 27 April 2012

My husband and I went for happy hour here (in the lounge) and were amazed! We each had a very nice glass of wine for $7.00. Our waitress (Megan) although busy and the only waitress at the time was very attentive! The appetizers were more than I could have imagined for a happy hour. ALL appetizers were $7.00 which meant some of them were more than 50% reduced from the normal time. We had an scrumptious mushroom torte with a shaving of truffle and a yummy sauce. The salmon cake was also out of this world. Put on top of this a gorgeous view and we could have stayed there all night!! It was one of our best experiences in San Deigo!

“Titanic”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

We went here for drinks only on the 100 anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. We seated ourselves @ the bar & ordered our drinks. When a table became available near the window we made the move. A server brought us a selection of nuts to have with our drinks. What a great view to look out on & remember the tragedy of the Titanic.

“5 Star Dinner on the beach!”
Reviewed 22 April 2012

My wife and I went here based on reviews from Yelp/Tripadvisor and the views. The views are unbelievable!!! We arrived 30 minutes prior to sunset and got a table right next to the window (see photo). We were able to watch the waves almost hit the building as the sun set right before us. Very romantic spot. I was surprised that this place wasn't just known for the view as the food was very good. It was lobster season so we both had pistachio crusted lobster tails for dinner and I had lobster bisque and my wife goat cheese brûlée for appetizer. Both were amazing. The tails were cooked perfectly so they were not rubbery or tough. The service was spot on with waiters dressed in tuxedos. Once the sun went down we watched the Pelicans dive Into the ocean for their dinner an the occasional seal. It's very tough to find any faults. Tip: Monday nights were Lobster night with a prix fix menu of $50 pp with 3 courses. The only small thing was the $5 to have our car valet parked, but it was my fault or not asking.
