The Gaslamp has two problems: It is a below average hotel, and it is across from a premier hotel in the Hilton Bayfront. There is nothing of note with the Gaslamp, other than its location. It is just not a quality property. I stayed in the Lofts, and they are absolutely nothing special. From the room selection area of the website, it appears as if you are getting something special; you are not. I have stayed at the Bayfront for years, and I will only stay there in the future.

Dear nhhawk5133,

I want to thank you for being our guest and allowing us to host you while in town. I am sad to hear of your dissatisfaction with your accommodations while staying with us as our past guests rave about our Lofts on 5th Avenue rooms and suites. None the less, you are a very valuable guest to us and Hilton. We appreciate and welcome your constructive feedback and I would like to thank you for having further correspondence with our team about your stay.
As a traveler, you have many hotel options and I hope that we can win back your confidence for future visits. Please feel free to contact me directly to assist with any needs that you may have.

Best,

Mark Remer

Hilton @ Gas Lamp District is wonderful. Amanda at the front desk asked us what brought us to San Diego. We answered our birthdays. She wished us both a happy birthday. We can back to our room after a day out to fi d a wonderful surprise, a lovely fruit and cheese tray and a bottle of wine. How special we feel!! Hilton has a gem for an employee!! THANKS AMANDA!!!

Love this place, in the heart of the gaslamp district. So beautiful and EXCELLENT service and food! Be sure to get the breakfast there, they do a phenomenal job. Rent a lime bike to go for a ride, so beautiful and so much to do.

I stayed here with a friend to watch a show. It was my first time using digital keycard but it never worked though i never really bothered fixing it as we have our own keycard from the front desk. The room was okay has a lot of space but not as what i thought it would look like. The views are limited as there's a lot of building blocking the view. The location is perfect close to gaslamp and you can just walk around. Though they don't offer self parking and the valet parking cost a lot so we just parked at the garage parking few blocks away which is a lot cheaper.

Dear ShariahG,

Thank you so much for allowing us to host you while in town. We also boast that our location is amongst the best in the city being near and walkable to just about everything that San Diego has to offer. That being said, parking is definitely at a premium for all local businesses. However, our valet team is on hand 24 hours a day to alleviate the stress of determining the best course of action in either finding alternative options or allowing them to service your parking needs.
I want to also thank you for trying out our newest industry leading technology in the digital key. We will continue to encourage our guests to take advantage of this technology and so sorry to hear that you encountered some issues while doing so.
Again, thank you so much for staying and hope to seen you again real soon.

Best,

The hotel was a perfect location for the Hot Chocolate 15K. A few drawbacks were that the pool was under construction and they DO NOT have a Jacuzzi. The parking is $49 a day, valet. No in and out parking. You can park on the street or in a local parking lot. Parking is not included. You are close to many fun restaurants and bars and near to the water. The hotel room was very neat and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The staff were helpful and lovely.

We could not agree with you more, Chantal C! We have the best staff, and they are the ones that make a difference for our guest during their stay. I hope that you will return to San Diego and to the Hilton Gaslamp Quarter.
