“Nice weekend retreat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2012

We spend two nights (Sat. & Sun.) at the Hotel Indigo. Our fifth floor room had a nice view of Petco Park. The 9th floor terrace bar has an even better view. The hotel is conveniently located on the southeast edge of the Gaslamp District. It's a comfortable walk to the district restaurants, Horton Plaza and Seaport Village.

Nicely furnished rooms with a decent restaurant in the lobby. This is a great option for a weekend in downtown San Diego.

We appreciate your review of the time you spent with us! Our Level 9 terrace bar has beautiful views of the Petco Park & it’s great you were able to experience that in your room as well. We’re glad you had the chance to sample our Table 509 restaurant too. Come see us for your next weekend getaway!

We decided to stay here during our recent trip to San Diego. I often stay in the fancier chain hotels for business, but when I travel with my wife and/or family, we like to stay in more boutique hotels. This time it was just my wife and I, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, especially David. We had a minor hiccup with our room at first, but we quickly got a new (and better) room when we called down to reception. We had a drinks on the rooftop while watching the first 1.5 innings of a ball game. unique! It's a close walk to lots of clubs and restaurants, depending on what you enjoy. And there is even more choices if you take a taxi for 10 min.
The rooms were modern, clean, and quiet.
Things to note: no refrig in room, checkout 11am (we got late checkout, but only until noon).

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay! It’s great to see you prefer boutique hotels & that you were able to get some alone time with your wife during this visit. We are thrilled to see David was able to give you a better room than expected & will make sure to pass along your compliments to him. Our Level 9 bar is the ideal place to relax & have a drink while watching the Padres play. Hopefully next time the whole family can come along!

While attending a conference for business, we decided to chose this boutique hotel. Well, it surpassed my expectations. This was my first staying at a such a hotel and now that is the type of place I prefer to stay. The rooms where clean, modern and "green!" Not much of a choice when it comes to restaurants, but there are many restaurants in the area to choose from. It is right there by Petco Park where you can see and hear everything if you have the right room. It is pet friendly, yet there is not a trace of pets having been anywhere in the hotel.

This hotel has a great location in the East Village/Gaslamp area of San Diego. It was easy walking distance to Petco Park and many restaurants/bars. The lobby was beautiful, and the room was great. My favorite feature was the 9th floor rooftop lounge with great views of San Diego and Petco Park, fire pits/heaters to keep you warm, and friendly bartenders. We hung out up there every evening of our stay to enjoy the views and happy hour specials. The hotel is pet-friendly so there were also dogs lounging around with their owners up on the rooftop lounge. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for writing a review! Our beautiful Level 9 terrace bar not only has views into Petco Park stadium but as you mentioned, it is pet friendly just like the rest of our hotel. By not charging any fees for bringing your pets, it lets our guests travel with their furry friends without any added stress. It’s great to see you would stay again & hopefully that time comes soon!
