“Clean and good value”
Reviewed 22 February 2012

Stayed at the midtown for 5 nights in February 2012. The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious with two double beds, plenty of floor space, big tv, table and chairs. Bathroom is a little small but has everything you need. The staff were all very helpful and gave great advice on things like restaurants. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are plenty close by. It's in a really good location very close to a metro station. Definitely a good value hotel.

Booked the Midtown in Boston through hotels tonight (nothing negative to say about the app - worked great!) and did not have a terrific experience (though didn't have a horrific one either). Arrived really really late, and even though I had called before to enquire if that woul dbe okay, they had no record of this at the front desk. The person doing the check in looked like he was annoyed I was checking in so late, and as a consequence was not the least bit friendly. While the room itself was not small, they crammed too much into it (two double beds) so it made it feel really tight. So while it was clean, it was not very comfortable in terms of moving around, and also the bed wasn't too comfy either. Location is good, parking is relatively cheap for the area, and wifi was good. Got a coupon for free parking and wifi through TripAdvisor, so that was a bonus.

Room Tip: Not sure, since only saw the one room..

modest, probably cheaper than other places. Staff was good. The rooms were nothing to rave about.

We stayed in the Midtown Hotel for 10 nights in August 2011 and I would recommend it for those looking for a no frills, reasonably priced hotel in a central location. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious. The room had two double beds and we also hired a foldaway bed, however, the room was never cramped. One annoying thing was the bathroom had two sections with the sink only seperated from the room by a glass partition. So, at night if someone used the bathroom the light would wake everyone. The room is pretty basic but after a lot of research the Midtown appear to offer some of the best rates in Boston for such a great location. The Prudential Centre is less than a 2 minute walk away.

Clean, convenient, affordable--best location in Boston, set among the priciest hotels, yet way less expensive. Cheerful, friendly staff, too!
