We stayed here during a four day stop over in Boston, and as others have noted, the location is truly very good. It is the closest non-overpriced hotel to the CBD. Public transport is conveniently close, shops, and with abit of walking the whole city is reachable. The service was not too welcoming but efficient, the rooms were clean, neat and what you would expect for the price. I'd say very reasonable for a almost budget stay-over. We will stay there again.

As we have stayed there a number of times over many years, we know the most desirable rooms and we keep coming back because of the location. The other major plus for Boston is the availability of parking right under the rooms. It used to be free, but it is still worth paying the additional charge. The facility is obviously in need of a major overhaul, there is only one slow elevator but it's still so convenient to haul your suitcase on a short distance without having to depend on an unpredictable Valet... Rooms definitely budget, no frills, no fridge, but most are quite large for Boston. Rated 4 stars (very good) because of the location and the cleanliness.

Room Tip: Almost anything not on Huntington Av.

The best reason to stay at this location is its incomparable location. It is within walking distance of the New England Conservatory, the Boston Symphony, the Prudential Center and Copley Square. Great cultural and culinary attractions, and ready access to the subway.

The hotel itself was fine - quiet, clean, comfortable beds, hot water, ironing board. It does not have amenities such as an exercise room, a toiletry kit, or a continental breakfast. But it is perfectly fine as a quiet place sleep - a good value for the money

One thing that my wife and I appreciated is that it has on-site parking for $18 a day. No need to rely on valet nonsense. And it is only five minutes from I-90

If you plan to visit Beantown - which everyone should - this is a place to say that is both convenient and economical

Room Tip: Once you park in Boston use public transit. Driving in Boston is not for the faint of heart

This is a very clean and serviceable property near two T stops in the fun neighborhood of Back Bay, central to Pru Center and Copley Square. Very fair room rates, clean, & with a responsive staff. Room definitely was budget but quite large. Disconcerting was the light for the bathroom lit both the bathroom behind a door, and the open- to- the- rest- of- the- room sink area, blazing the whole room with light during those late night excursions to the ladies room. Forced air heat is quite loud. All in all a very affordable spot. Tour buses stop right outside for boarding, so if you have a room on the Huntington side of the building, be sure those drapes are closed if you don't want to show yourself off to the folks on the double decker!

We had a room on the front of the building. The room was very large with a connecting door to the adjacent room the noise from the road was terrible add to this the noise from some kind of machinery or maybe air-con all night meant we hardly slept. The room itself was ok if a bit worn around the edges. As usual the cleaning staff do a wonderful job.

Apparently this hotel was refurbished a few years ago according to our travel agent!

No safe in the room with very small safety deposit box (ebay or Craigslist?) in a room adjacent to reception.

Like most hotels this was only a base to stay at night, but still, I would not recommend this hotel on our experience.

BTW
For good value tasty, day time food go to Thornton's a couple of hundred yards away, opposite the Pru centre.

For free wifi use Barns & Noble at the Pru.
