En Route to our sons first NBA game at TD Garden, last minute decision to eat before we went in, walked down the local streets looking for a restaurant and came across McGanns...
Outside looks like a typical sports bar, and inside the tables are tightly packed together...
But, the server was amazing , attentive and friendly, showed us straight to our table with our menus.
Our server returned, took our drinks and food order, and left us to enjoy the atmosphere....for some, this place would be NOISY!! but, for us it added to the experience.
The drinks arrived, closely followed by our food...
Turkey wrap and chips (not fries!) - delicious with most amazing moist turkey 10/10
Southwestern Burger and chips (not fries!!) - described by my son as one of the best burgers he has had, and cooked medium to perfection
Lastly, my dinner..Grilled steak tips....not sure what I was expecting, but it exceeded them and a lot more. The steak was seasoned beautifully, cooked as ordered (medium rare) the tips were large 2-3oz portions, chips (not fries!!) were delicious and the green beans we al dente.
All in all, a fantastic find....and the food not at all what we expected to find in a "sports bar"

Watched the rugby Scotland v Australia for the world cup. Good atmosphere, bad result in the match for Scotland! I'd come here for other matches if I was in Boston.

Went in here to watch the Ireland rugby match. Forgot about the $20 door charge at the early kick off time (10am) that most places in the US appear to charge for these events. Paid and went in. Enjoyed the game by myself but those people I did talk to were friendly and approachable. Cool barman. I'd go back in the future.

Probably the place to get a beer and a pub meal and watch a game, other than that it's not anything special. Better off checking out the best Irish pub in Boston "The Black Rose".
