Dear Mr. Carmona,

We used OpenTable, linked from your restaurant’s site, to make a reservation at 1:30 for my wife and I to celebrate Mother’s Day. When we arrived, the restaurant was clearly overbooked. Even people in the dining area were having a hard time moving around. We stayed for an hour after our reservation time in the deafening mob in the lobby with no table in sight, so we left. This ruined my plans to celebrate Mother’s Day. Based on Tripadvisor reviews here that, unfortunately, I read afterward, this practice is typical at your restaurant. It is abusive of customers. The Burlington location does not overbook. What's wrong with you?

In particular, we booked a table at 1:30 PM, Sunday, May 12, 2023. We actually live closer to the Burlington, MA location, but that was completely booked. We put on nice clothes, drove down to Boston, parked at the Copley Garage, and walked over to your restaurant. We got there at 1:30, but noticed that the lobby was standing room only and the restaurant was full. There was a line for reservation holders to check in and it took ten minutes to get to the maître d'. After we checked in, we stood and waited. After a while, I checked OpenTable and I was surprised to see that your restaurant was still accepting reservations for 2:15 and later. Clearly there were no such tables.

After a half hour, at 2:00, we again went back to the maître d' and asked how much longer the wait would be. She told us there were over a dozen reservations ahead of us and that she “had no idea” how long it would be. We waited about another half hour, and then gave up and walked back to our car. This misadventure cost us hours of our time, an 18-mile round trip drive, a $23.00 parking fee, and a ruined Mother’s Day. Booking tables that you clearly don’t have is bait and switch.

Hello, we took our son and his friend out for dinner here. We went up to the salad bar and the food there was great. However, I had to ask 3 times for plantains. Then on the third time they brought out potatoes, plantains, bread, and casava fries as we were getting ready to leave. Very disappointing as we spent almost 100/person with one soda and one glass of wine. When we went in the bathroom, they smelled, were out of paper towels and just felt very dirty.

Greatly disappointed! Had reservations and was told we will be seated. There was several groups come in and they were seated. Waited almost 35 mins till the manager ask us and I told her we had reservations. We were seated and our waitress was great. I had to ask the 2nd waitress about the meat servers to tend to our table no luck. A gentleman notice we were getting frustrated and approach the table and I told him that our table was getting skipped by the meat servers. I’m extremely upset and the money/price for the experience was not worth it when you leave still hungry!
