The hotel looks wonderful from the outside with it furling flags - but in actuality it is just average - but perfectly fine for what it is. It is NOT a honeymoon or luxury hotel. But if you need a clean place to stay next to Massachusetts General Hospital - look no further. And they are very nice with giving patients a reduced rate for their stay. But park in the hospital parking lot it is less expensive and only 1 1/2 blocks away. Know that the bed configurations are only a King size bed in a room or two full size beds in a room which are pretty small for two people. So be aware. The hotel is fine - but the bathroom needed updating as some of the ceramic and grout especially in the shower was in a bit of disrepair. The street noise and other room noise were a bit too noisy - but we adapted. A bit of a face lift would help immensely - but all in all the stay was satisfactory and their policy towards patients is very appreciated.
Also a bonus - Whole Foods and a CVS is sort of attached to the hotel - so that was very convenient. One bad thing is that several people were smoking outside at the entrance and that was not pleasant to walk through when entering and leaving.More
