I stayed in a deluxe king bed room on the Extra Day Away - One Free Night offer in mid- February. After a thorough search through tripadvisor, i chose the Mandarin for its luxury, comfort, and location.

Rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are marble and lovely. There is a large shower, bath tub, and separate WC area.

Room service is available 24hours and the food is delicious. Staff are very helpful (had some issues with the telephone , which were quickly resolved) and cordial.

The spa is fantastic and can cater to your needs. I asked for a leg - centere massage, which was heavenly.

The hotel's proximity to stores, parks, and the downtown area is ideal. A bit on the expensive side for Boston, but can be worth it

My recent short stay at this property was a pleasure from A-Z — made special by the staff; their warm, professional welcomes and ease of communication without being stilted. Next time I look forward to enjoying the property for a longer visit, whilst making time for the amazing looking spa! Top-notch Boston stay — doesn't get better from what I can tell in this town, with its wonderful location that is multi-purpose from fun to biz to academia interests.

Also, Asana's chef's table is absolutely the perfect private table in Boston (at a hotel that is!) - peer onto the kitchen to see the action.

First time ever staying at a Mandarin Oriental, and for certain it will not be the last.We loved the hotel.Prime location, right on Boylston St, shopping and dining all around you.It even connects to the Prudential Center, shopping area, very convenient. We stayed in a Back Bay Suite, it was wonderful.Room was very large, had all modern conveniences, all down to a touch screen phone.Out favorite was the bathroom, rainforest shower, soaking tub, so relaxing.Staff was super helpful and accommodating.Nothing bad to say for the hotel experience.

this hotel is pretty good, albeit ferociously pricey...my beef with it is that a) noone helped with my bags b) breakfast was included in the price but when I checked in, the lady at reception said it wasnt, so it was only when my PA told me it was a b+b deal that i had breakfast (ie once out of six days), and no offer of credit was made to me on checkout, despite their error. Its well situated, staff are generally friendly, rooms are clean although smallish, but as i said, this is very expensive for what it is- and its no Mandarin Oriental HK!

This is really one of the best hotels in the world but one would expect no less from the Mandarin chain. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff attentive but not obsequious and the atmosphere charming. The bar is vibrant but can get very crowded and busy. My only criticism was the breakfast. There is no buffet so, if you want a cooked breakfast you have to order from the menu which offers you considerably less choice.
