This was our third or fourth stay at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Boston and very convenient to the theater district and to Chinatown. Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of some updating if it is to remain a five star hotel. Right now there is construction work going on outside of the hotel and it is dusty and very noisy. This construction will continue for a long time to come as they are building a sister building like the photo attached.
The rates are expensive considering the noise, dust and building works as well as the the hotel needs updating. See the photo of the cracked basin in our room. Also, the bath tub waste lever did not work and so we could not empty the bath tub after taking a bath!
We will return but only after they make improvements to the hotel and the construction work nearby has been completed otherwise they will need to adjust their rates to compensate.
We paid over $300 per night and when we complained about the noise and construction and problems with the room, all they said was "sorry" we wanted to extend our stay but they were not even prepared to offer us a better rate so we moved to another hotel.More
