“Stop In For REAL Mountain Crafts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2012

This is NOT a place where you will find crafts from other countries trying to pass themselves off as "mountain made". This is the REAL DEAL! We stop here each time we ride the BRP. The items for sale, as well as the upstairs section, are a real treat for folks who are tired of seeing phony crafts and machine made junk. The work of real artisans is on display here. The restrooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. Allow at least a half hour, more if you can spare it. You will be glad you did!

“Beautiful to look at - Expensive to buy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2012

There were many beautiful creations at the Folk Art Center. Some of the pieces were absolutely amazing. There were art forms that I have not been exposed to before. The ability to buy is a plus but bring your charge card. There are tons of things to look at and enjoy even if you don't buy.

Always a thrilling display of quilts. Great unique earrings. Nice pottery. Fun souvenirs. Interesting artists plying their trade in the lobby - watch and ask questions.
