We enjoyed our annual Labor Day get-away...this year we stayed in the cottage, behind the main house. It is a perfect place if you want privacy or planning a longer stay as there is a kitchen/eating area. Bill & Terry are gracious hosts and very willing to assist you with your Asheville area visit. Tony ate every crumb each morning and raided the cookie jar daily. We will be back in 2012!

Room Tip: It's a historic home with lots of history...choose the cottage if you want privacy or plan an ex...

This was our first trip to Asheville, and I can think of a more amazing place to have had our first stay. The house is beautiful inside and out. The interior is clean, warm and inviting. We were welcomed with homemade pastries and a guided tour of the house by the owners. Our room was homey but more spacious than I would have guest, and the jacuzzi tub was perfect after our 6 hour travel. The breakfasts were amazing too- fresh fruit, orange french toast, etc. And again, the hosts were warm, welcoming and very helpful with planning our activities while we were in Asheville. We wanted to stay another night, but unfortunately, the rooms were booked. We went to a supposedly "luxury hotel" downtown, and it didn't even to compare to Hill House. I would recommend Hill House to anyone wanting a relaxing, enjoyable stay!

My wife and I honeymooned at Hill House several years ago and recently returned for a weekend getaway. Impeccably appointed, pristinely clean, Hill House was as we romantically remembered - wonderful. Bill and Terry are friendly without smothering their guests. Bailey and Maisie, their canine companions, wagged their welcome. We chose the S&W room to enjoy a private breakfast. When the creme brulee french toast was delivered, we sighed, completely relaxed and rejuvenated, with extremely happy taste buds.

We stayed here for three nights and found everything to be ok. The rooms are quirky with bathrooms that could do with a bit of updating. The breakfasts are served at 9.00 am prompt with a small fruit salad followed by an omellete or a pancake. The owners are pleasant but choose not to interct much with the guests. The best thing is sitting on the large porch or the lounge and meeting other travellers. The complimentary cookies were appreciated.

We stayed 2 nights at Hill House earlier this summer. The inn was well kept and the breakfasts were sooo good! We ate out on the porch as the weather was just perfect. We stayed upstairs - a steep climb - and although our room was spacious, the bathroom area was a bit cramped. If we stay there again, we would request a downstairs room. Not our favorite B&B but wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
