Spent a night here before starting my favorite drive in the U.S.A., from Key Largo to Key West. This hotel is located on Rt. 1, so there’s a little traffic noise but overall it’s fairly quiet and we had a good nights’ sleep. Our room was clean and very comfortable, just a bit dated (time for some remodeling). Two relatively minor problems: room only has a few electrical outlets- not conveniently located- so if you need to charge cellphones and other electronics consider bringing your own power strip. Also, the shower was okay, just enough hot water and the control valve barely works (needs to be replaced). We were pleasantly surprised by a very good “continental” breakfast (plenty of cereal, fruit, breads, yogurt, orange juice, boiled eggs, good coffee, etc.). Very clean and well-maintained dining area as well. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend this to other travelers. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s okay for a decent nights sleep if you’re passing through.More
