I stayed here in early august with my husband and six kids. The deluxe two room cabin we boooked was a seriouslly creepy structure that looked like two storage sheds stacked on top of one another. The upstairs area had three sturdy bunk beds, but the double bed downstairs was a creaky dilapidated futon that provided the wordt night sleep I have EVER had. The bathhouse had only three stalls for women, one of which was out of order the whole time, so we had long bathroom delays (I have five daughters).

On the positive side- my kids LOVED the pool, mini golf, and giant trampoline. The laundry room was clean and spacious, as was the camp store. Some of the other smaller cabins looked newer and nicer- chhose carefully. The location RIGHT next to harpers ferry park was also fantastic.

Have RV, used sit with full hook-up, no cable, paid about $50 a night, they also charge a $5 a day resort fee, arrived on a wednesday, wasn't busy, Friday came and they packed them in like sardines! Would not recommend if you like "camping", too noisy, too many vehicles, had to ask neighbors to move vehicles to pull out. Had to wear a wrist band. Location is right next to Harpers Ferry National Park.

My bf and I have been here twice, both times staying in cabins and are about to book another trip. The cabins are small, but its great to have AC and heat! If renting a cabin, I would suggest getting a more private one facing the woods. There are so many more things to do than a normal campsite, lots of showers and bathrooms which are cleaned regularly, a great pool that is open until Oct 1, and extremely close to the state park for great hiking! Overall, this is a nice place for both couples and families to have some fun and enjoy nature with a few comforts from home.

Also, the next town over (Charlestown) has a casino and horse races if you are looking for something fun to do at night.

Too bad that our neighbors partied all night and proceeded to have a family argument at 3:00 a.m. that disturbed and frightened our entire section. Security came; however, when we approached management about the issue the following morning to inquire if that family would be displaced, we were spoken to as if we had a problem and not the family who was drinking irresponsibly. Due to the attitude of management, we packed up and left early (as did three of our neighbors). We do not recommend this campground.

This was our first time staying at this KOA and we arrived very close to the office closing time. After navigating an unfamiliar campground in the dark and making it to the cabins, we were unhappy with the location and realized that there had been a slight mix up with our cabin reservations; we had asked to be closer to our friends that we were traveling with. The owner let us into the closed office and fixed very quickly-just a slight hassle.

First, the likes: service was great –lot of staff presence, well-priced gift shop, plenty of free activities for every age, nice theater, plenty of clean shower spaces, quiet after 10:00pm and a nice, reasonably priced pancake breakfast.

The dislikes: hilly and rocky –so much so, that we considered renting a golf cart, very crowded pool area, limited parking-we had to park in the grass and gnats galore (but not just at the campground…everywhere in the surrounding area).

We checked out the whole campground and picked a few cabin sites that we liked better, so next time, we will request those sites and I’m sure that it won’t be a problem.
