We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bayfield and the Cooper Hill House. The location is very convenient and walkable to the downtown shops and ferry. The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the "Victorian Rose Room" which was nice, although we did find the bed very hard. The weather that weekend was unseasonably warm, and when we returned from a day of biking and hiking on Madeline Island, they had turned on the air conditioning and our room was cool and comfortable.
We were served a "light" breakfast of coffee, juice and delicious homemade breads and muffins, and local fruit dishes. We enjoyed our conversations over breakfast with fellow guests and the owners about local attractions and excursions unique to the area. Larry and Julie were very informative about Bayfield area history and were helpful in recommending area restaurants and sites. We would definitely consider staying at the Cooper Hill House when we return to the Bayfield area - which we are looking forward to soon!
