Enjoyed visiting and exploring this place even it was cold and windy. Grounds are well maintained and taken care of

Oh how I would love to be laid to rest here at this site. It is a most peaceful and beautiful spot surrounded by Antietam National Battlefield. Pictures here do not give justice to the serene and tranquil feeling you get when visiting.

A great spot for a visit after Antietam battlefield, make it part of your visit. A great feature - You can find the area where soldiers of your state are buried, there's a book that even lists the names and has a map of their location. Plan on 30-60 minutes here.

This was a very humbling visit. I would recommend a stop during the battlefield driving tour. This is a very quiet and respectful area.

The first time I visited this most hallowed of grounds, I was literally blown away. Words cannot describe how impactful the experience truly is.
