Stayed for one night in March 2012. Hotel is located next to the Del Rio shopping area (where the big box stores are) and across the street from a Hampton Inn. Fast food restaurants are nearby, so the hotel is conveniently located if one is in Del Rio. Airport is 5 minutes away. Room was spacious enough with two queen-size beds but has inadequate lighting, resulting in some dim corners at night. The room was clean. Bed was ok, but not plush. 32" flat screen TV worked fine. A small fridge, microwave and coffee maker were also present in the room. My room had a large comfy chair in one corner. I wanted to move it a few feet to free up some space near the small working table in the room and one of the chair legs fell off. I flipped the chair over to re-attach the leg and saw that the chair had been broken for some time and the threaded chair leg could not be reattached. Room air conditioner worked fine. Hotel was quiet. Wireless internet in the room and lobby is free and worked well. Few electricity plugs can be found in the breakfast/lounge area for laptops. None are available in the lobby area. Continental breakfast included standard fare, and did include the warmed cinnamon rolls Holiday In Express is known for.

This is a hotel that sees frequent business traveler use. It is not a "destination" hotel, but will serve well enough. Staff should take a look at the chairs in the rooms though.

I stayed 1 night during a business trip that required me to travel to Acuna. The hotel still looks new througout in every aspect. The rooms were nice and comfortable and suited my needs quite well for a 1 night stay. I did not encounter any issues with internet connectivity and speeds were typical of a hotel WiFi (Not blazing fast but not overly slow either). All the staff I encountered were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was typical of the breakfast offered at other Holiday Inn Express hotels with the exception of a pancake machine that would make up 2 pancakes at a time with the press of a button. Having never seen one of these before, I was quite intrigued. Sursprisingly, the pancakes they produced were actually good. Even for a free breakfast, it was still quite fulfilling.

The hotel itself if situated a bit back off the main main road and can be a little difficult to find if you are new to the area. While we didn't get lost driving there, we almost drove past it due to its location. Also, even though there are a lot of restaurants in the area, there is only really one that is in immediate walking distance (Rudy's BBQ). There are still others within walking distance, but will require a bit more of a walk to get there. During some of those hot summer days, it could be an uncomfortable walk. In some cases, you may be better off driving to your restaurant of choice.

Overall, it was a very nice place to spend the night.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the Holiday Inn Express Del Rio, Texas on Trip Advisor. We are grateful to have had you as our guest and I am very pleased to hear that your stay with us was a pleasant one. I'm happy to learn that you enjoyed our pancakes from our pancake machine. I have to say that it has become a popular addition to our Breakfast Bar and enjoyed by many.
Our goal is to always ensure that our guests get the best service and accommodations possible and I am extremely pleased to know that our hotel made for a clean and quiet place to stay for the night. We certainly hope to be of service to you again when business or leisure brings you back to Del Rio.

Thank you.

Welcoming place to rest on our way back to San Antonio from Big Bend. It's a fairly new hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. Stayed in a suite which was spacious and quiet. Breakfast provided was a good start to our drive the next morning.

Stayed here one night on route from Carlsbad to Corpus Christi as part of a 3 week road trip.

Staff were very friendly/pleasant. The room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom.
Wi-Fi tended to be slightly intermittent with connectivity.

Good breakfast, although there was a lack of fresh fruit available. We unfortunately suffered from an irritating rattle with the Air con unit and a noisy ticking fridge? Bit odd as this hotel is quite new. If we had been staying more than one night I’d would have asked for a move to another room.

The rest of the hotel that we encountered appeared to be very new looking and tidy
