Okay room for a budget stay between area and money
nice cafes couple blocks away. nothing much around though.

We got a room overlooking neighbor's nice green backyard garden. However, the window can not be opened to let air in, so the room at times smells musty and humid (especially the bathroom). The room itself like other reviewers in tripadvisor had mentioned, only has cosmetic looks, it's not a bad look except you can tell it's using old materials to re-fitting the room.
The server forgot to clean the bathroom hence left no new towels. After we told the front desk, they efficiently changed it though.
Overall, the staffs are nice and it's a young, hip looking hotel. Only if the air is fresher...

Room Tip: Do not stay under 5F if you choose a room that is looking towards the back. The outdoor greenery sta...

I loved this hotel, it had such a great feel about it and the decor was fabulous! It was located close to everything, and the street itself was full of cute little cafes to get a coffee or bfast.

The rooms are of ample size with a clean modern look. Lots of orange so maybe good for those from Holland! Shaun on the front desk was wearing an excellently groomed moustache and was very helpful. Location is within walking distance of most sights given SF is quite spread out - the neighbourhood felt safe and there were ample amenities nearby. Would happily revisit and recommend.

I spent 3 night in this hotel. It is a good hotel, very well located next to Union Square. In a nice area. The rooms not on the streets are very quiet. The people are very helpful. It is simple clean and ideal to visit San Frnacisco

I stayed here for 6 nights while I was in SF for business. The location was good (about 5-6 blocks from Union Square), so it was within walking distance for most of my meetings (which were scattered around downtown). The staff were super friendly and I was even able to check-in to my room 3 hours early. They offered secure luggage storage, so I was also able to leave my bags on my last day and do a bit more exploration on my last day. Value was great - I paid less than half the price for other hotels in the downtown area. The building is older, so some things are due for an update (e.g. carpet in the room) but still felt clean. Amenities in the room were great, I had a huge walk in closet, flat screen TV and bar fridge. Most importantly, the bed was super comfy.
