We (group of 3) came here for lunch one day based off of local recommendation and also online suggestions.
The first thing that hits you is how busy it is. Great to see for the business but it can make it somewhat challenging when you’re figuring out what you want and then trying to get your order in. The staff were friendly and very quick with the service.
Once the order was placed you were given a number and had to stand and wait in the shop / cafe / bakery area for your number to be called and this is where it became a little unpleasant with how busy it was. People bumping into you and a struggle to hear your number as crowds gathered, waiting for their orders and having their own conversations over the already loud atmosphere. Not an issue, but with the volume of orders and the speed of them processing them you need to keep your wits. The orders were brought out in no apparent order which also didn’t help. Negatives out of the way.
The positives! The food was super tasty and the quality and quantity more than made up for the hustle and bustle aspect when waiting. There are seats both inside and outside and due to the speed of service these seats have a quick turnaround almost ensuring there is seating for you. The price is fair for the quality and amount you get. Staff were quick to clean and tidy up any mess or stuff left behind from other people.
Overall, it was a very good place to eat and well worth it! I would say that with its location being close to the piers (for most of the tours) and next to fisherman’s wharf it’s a prime spot for you to grab a tasty bite to eat or ‘grab and go’ and would recommend it!
