I visit San Francisco from London quite often for work and have stayed in many of the nicer hotels throughout the city. Since finding Parker Guest House, however, I've not stayed anywhere else. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms are clean, light, and nicely decorated (and even smell nice!), there is a courtyard (with a fountain and seating), the breakfast is delicious, parking is reasonably priced, and the guests are tremendously friendly. It's also 2 blocks from Dolores Park, very close to public transit, and an easy distance from the highway. I have recommended it to all of my coworkers (many of whom have also now stayed here and had a similarly great experience). Can't recommend it highly enough!!!

I had the fortune to stay at the parker guest house in April of this year for one night,I was greeted by Scot who instantly made me feel very welcome and at home.
The rooms and public rooms were tastfully decorated and comfy, the gardens are beautiful and I enjoyed their peace and tranquillity.
The breakfast is amazing and plentiful and served up in the great room over looking the garden.

The nightly wine get together is great for meeting new people and putting a start to the evening.

I will go back one day.

Thanks guys.

Recently on a trip to San Francisco to reunite with old friends, I was fortunate enough to discover the Parker Guest House. It actually is two Turn of the Century mansions that were renovated to form one property. The main house, built in the early 1900's is beautifully decorated and brought to modern standards, but the owners were able to retain the elegance and charm of the period. Each room is beautifully decorated and cozy. Mine overlooked the garden area complete with quaint outdoor areas with couches and fountains.

Perhaps the most outstanding part about the Parker Guest House is the staff. After a long day in Los Angeles and a flight to San Francisco, I was welcomed with a big smile and a hug. It is a rare thing when establishments make you feel that welcome. from early morning till late at night everyone working there bent over backwards to make sure that my stay was as pleasant as possible.

While waiting to meet up with friends, I had a chance to walk the area. The Parker Guest House is only a short walk to the heart of the Castro, and is on the main trolly line that runs clear to the Embacadero. Only a Block from fabulous restaurants, local shops, and clubs you are surrounded by the flavor of this eclectic area. They say Location Location Location, and all of that is true, but a hotel, even as charming as the Parker Guest House, is nothing unless it is accompanied with and incredible staff.

On all future trips to this remarkable city, I will return again and again to the Parker Guest House. I have found a small gem in this wonderful city. My best to the staff and everyone there for making this a most delightful trip indeed.

Room Tip: Not all rooms come with an attached bath, they give you options on this. I chose a room that had an...

This was my second visit to the Parker, located within minute’s walk to the Castro's bars and restaurants, and transport to other areas of San Francisco, and very very safe. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and both my experiences very quiet indeed. The staff are fantastic, Scot, Deron and Matt are warm, friendly, welcoming and ensure that everyone's stay is enjoyable. There is a nightly wine session between 5:30 and 6:30 to meet other guests which can go on longer than you anticipate. Two nice lounge areas one with a warm real fire and piano for guests to relax. Coffee is available around the clock, either readymade or a kettle to make your own in either of the two kitchen areas. Breakfast is continental of cereals, muffins, toast, fruit and Danishes etc. so more than filling for the day a head. There is a nice garden and courtyard area for the guests smoke, chat or relax.
If I have a gripe then it has to be that the cushions from the garden furniture should be removed at night and when it rains, because not only were the seat wet through but became dirty very quickly, which meant that they could not be used. Apologies that is my only whinge.
I love this place and wish I could give it six stars, thanks guys and look forward to coming back again and again.
