The clams here really are as fresh as you can get! Even better than a lot of places on Cape Cod. Plus the view on a Summer night across Wollaston Beach towards the Boston skyline is unbeatable!

Absolutely awesome seafood. My wife had a lobster roll that was huge and the taste was awesome. I had the clam roll and it was perfect. Great view of the Quincy Bay and Boston skyline in the background. Great place to eat...even tho' a bit on the pricy side.

Read about the awesome lobster roll, but having had one at Quincy Market earlier in the day, we thought we'd have something else. My spouse ordered the Fried Lobster Plate and I picked the Crab-cake Plate. Plates are served with nicely crisp fries and coleslaw. The Fried lobster is basically lobster tails cut into two lengthwise, battered, and fried. You get 6 pieces (3 tails) per order w/clarified butter. They're good, not greasy, and each a decent chunk of lobster. Yummy, crispy fries and creamy, tasty coleslaw. The crab cake plate comes w/2 crab cakes and a slightly spicy sauce that appears to contain Tabasco; they're good size cakes & taste ok. Both entrees were decent, but as we were eating, we saw the lobster rolls pass by and those looked spectacular!

We decided to stop screwing around and just get 1 order of the Lobster Roll Special (1 sandwich, a pickle spear, and a bag of potato chips), since we'd already had the 2 Fried Plates. OMG!! It was amazing! Don't waste your time grabbing a lobster roll at Quincy Market unless that's only where you'll be during your visit to Boston. Go straight to Tony's Clam Shop and get the Lobster Roll!!! You'll thank me. It has nearly 3 times the amount of lobster meat (with huge claw chunks!!) as any lobster roll sold near Faneuil Hall at roughly the same price! The lobster is sooo fresh and sooo delicious! You can barely see the bread!

We had belly clams, fried shrimp, french fries, and onion rings. All cooked perfectly with large serving sizes, but the cost was very expensive.

If you want to splurge on great fried foods, this is the place to go!

I've been going to Tony's for 30+ years. My usual was fried oysters, always the best. We moved hours away eight years ago but visit whenever back in the area, usually 5-6 times per year. Now, I usually get the seafood platter and kids get burgers and fried clams. The kids now ask if we can go to Tony's if we are in Massachusetts. One of the best in the Boston area.
