The food here was excellent and the portions are very large (as a party of 2 we split 2 appetizers and one entree, and were very full), however the service is slightly lacking. We arrived for a 9:30 Saturday reservation and were promptly seated, but had to wait 25 minutes or so before anyone approached our table and drink orders were taken. It then took another 20 minutes to receive the drinks, but after taking our orders the food came out quickly and service was good. It seemed they were very busy (or perhaps slightly understaffed), but other than the slowness the wait staff and servers were very friendly, and the owner came over to chat and ask about the meal. The house bread is excellent (especially the blueberry cornbread), and the drink menu extensive. There is also a less formal attached "parrilla" that serves drinks and small plates. We went to the Havana Parilla after dinner another night during our trip and had drinks and a dessert — service was outstanding and the dessert was tasty. Overall I would highly recommend.
I keep thinking about the Chorizo dish and how it was one of the best dishes I can remember in long time. A memorable meal deserving of a townies recommendation.
Great restaurant with delicious food - choice of 'formal' restaurant inside or more casual outside bar and restaurant. Michael and team consistently do a great job and offer a great variety of specials.
This is a great restaurant. Food and service were excellent. Chicken with sweet potato gnocchi was so good we could eat it all day everyday. Was it Cuban? That's debatable but who cares!
