A good facility at a reasonable price. Nice ocean views, and also good to have the pool for kids. Nice surrounding area for running or after-dinner walks. Very helpful staff. Good proximity to the national park.

we loved this place. the staff were helpful and friendly. always ask a local for the best local restaurants. the room was immaculate, fresh towels, and homemade blueberry muffins for breakfast.
would stay there again.
We booked this motel because it is one of the very few in Bar Harbor that is pet friendly, as is the adjacent Acadia National Park, and they were true to their word, presenting us with a welcoming doggie bag on checking in. The rooms were spacious, and the views of the bay, compete with two large cruise ships anchored off shore, were spectacular. We'd stay again, with or without our dog.
Staying in a third floor room, we had lovely views over the bay. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very good so we weren't able to take advantage of the balcony. The room was clean and mostly quiet. There is a free continental breakfast included with the room, which we didn't feel had much in the way of choice. The hotel is nicely situated for Bar Harbour and Acadia National Park.
Beautiful view, the name suits the location, especially when there was a nice crisp wind blowing. We only stayed one night but accommodations were suitable, linings were clean and room was as well. Upon exploration of the lodge and the room, it almost feels like a senior living home....not exactly a negative. My mother appreciated the railing in the bathroom. I will say, the numbering of the rooms on the third floor is quite sporadic, and does not make the most sense. Our room number was 314- you get off the elevator and there are rooms 315, 312, 307 and 311...I asked the front desk for the location, and it was completely at the other end.
My wife and I had a third floor room with a great view of Frenchman's Bay. We stayed 10/9, 10 & 11. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room is huge. One nice touch was that we don't usually have our room cleaned when staying a short period but the staff still left a care package of towels, etc. at our door even though we didn't ask for anything. The only negative was a slow elevator.
