“Wonderful, relaxing place to stay!”

This property is clean and well maintained. Martha, the property manager is helpful but not intrusive in any way. The studio is small but has everything you need. The grocery store is just a few blocks away and there is a member card on the key chain with the house key to save you some money. Seven Brothers restaurant is in the strip mall by the Foodland grocery store and it is definitely somewhere I would recommend. Check it out on Yelp. Their food is amazing! Giovanni's shrimp truck and Masamoto's shave ice are two more places you should definitely try. The Polynesian Culture Center was an amazing experience! Definitely plan a day to spend there. The studio is literally right across the street from PCC.
The beach is literally in your backyard. It's easy access from the studio and very private. The property owner has gone to great lengths to provide a clean, well maintained, comfortable, reasonably priced, place for people to stay. I would very highly recommend this property and I will definitely be back!

“Relaxing retreat at good swimming beach, perfect location.”

The best thing about this studio is it's location in the quiet La'ie area. It has a patio, grassy area, and very quiet beach that is great for swimming just out back. During our 5 night stay, we saw people in the water now and then, but people don't tend to be laying out on the beach, so it is quiet.

Best parts:
-Wonderful view (especially sunrise, and you can see the Milky Way!)
- Very friendly and helpful property manager (she'll give you the discount card to use at the store)
- Very clean and nice condition of the studio.
- Value considering the location and quality.
-Patio is a glorious location to hang your hammock and admire the view all day!
-Swimming beach just a few steps down. We were there in January with big surf out further, but were able to swim without problems in the bathtub beach inside the reef because it is protected from the waves and there is pretty cool snorkeling just along the reef.

Good to know:
-The studio shares a wall with another vacation rental next door (a one-bedroom, I believe), and the house just next next door (a 2 bedroom) is also on the property, so all three share the grassy area, thus the patios do not have privacy.
- The first night we noticed that our curtains were see-through, so we improvised and switched the transparent curtain with the curtain that covered the closet (they are easy to switch because of how they are mounted). No biggie to do this.
- Bathroom sink is awkwarly shaped and has a shelf that makes washing one's face a bit challenging.
-Local kids sometimes go spear fishing at night, so don't worry if you see a strange flashlight.

“Gorgeous Location, small studio”

Once we got over how very small the studio was we had a wonderful time.
The location of this unit is wonderful to explore the east coast and North Shore of Oahu.
The studio is very tiny, but clean and well maintained. The manager next door is delightful and helpful. The wifi access was very quick and wonderful to keep in touch with home.
One suggestion would be a block out curtain for the back door as the sun comes in shining straight on the bed. Also would have appreciated a safe so as to lock laptop, passports etc up while out day tripping as we were worried about theft.
The bath tub beach behind the studio was easily accessed and so safe if you are travelling with children.

Liked best: Location
Liked least: Needs block out Curtain (we used the blanket as a curtain) and Safe, would be very hot in summer with no aircon.

“Overall, a Fantastic Experience”

My husband and I stayed on Oahu for 4 nights and wanted someplace that was quieter and more out of the way than places in Honolulu. We found this place and it sounded perfect! The location was what we were looking for (not too remote, not in the city) and it was easy enough to find. We did have to turn around once because we drove by the property the first time.

The property is small as it is a beach house. There is the main room, a small kitchen, and a small bathroom. There is a washer and dryer out front that are available for use for no charge other than having to buy detergent (unless there is some left from a previous renter as was the case for us). There is a grocery store not too far up the road that is well stocked, and we were even given a member card to scan to save a little money at the store. The beach is beautiful and calm because of the natural formations near the shore that keep the heavy waves away and it is practically right outside the back patio door. There is just a short walk across the yard and down a private set of steps, and you're on the beach.

For anyone visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center, this property is in the perfect location. It is literally right across the street from the Center. My husband and I were able to walk there and save a bit of money on parking at the Center.

Overall, this property is cozy and convenient and the manager is very nice and helpful. I would stay here again were I to revisit Oahu.

“Exceeded All My Expectations”

I was a little nervous traveling alone but felt good about the photos and the reviews so I decided to go. The inside of the studio is actually nicer than the pictures and the views are simply stunning-much, much nicer than the pictures. The sunrises were amazing, right out the patio door. I was awestruck the first morning I was there. Martha and Keld went out of their way to help me with anything I needed and were very pleasant. The home was clean upon arrival and had everything I needed. (Tip:make sure to bring a bar of soap). The beach itself was wonderful. The water was warm and it was safe to go in the water because of the reef which forms "bathtub beach." The bed was extremely comfortable. This unit is fine for someone traveling solo or for a couple. I visited several other beaches but nothing was as nice as this little slice of paradise. I hope to return someday.
