Owner description: Experience Hawaiʻiʻs Living Culture in Waimea Valley, deeply rooted in authentic Hawaiian History, Culture, Spirituality and Tradition. Waimea Valley is a world apart from Waikiki, be in the quiet of nature, beautiful flowers, rare plants, cultural sites and a beautiful waterfall for swimming.

We recently spent a few hours strolling through the "world class botanical gardens" at Waimea Valley. In addition to the beautiful waterfall at the end of the very easy walking trail, there are well-kept plants and trees to enjoy along the way. The Waimea Valley entrance is easy to locate and there was plenty of free parking. The admission fee is a little steep at $16.00 for an adult ($12.00 for a senior) but we felt it was a sight we didn't want to miss.

We went here with my parents, who love plants, and also my three kids, ages 14,12 and 4. We planned ahead and brought swimsuits and some of us swam in the waterfall. What a great experience! Also, the food was unexpectedly good! I would recommend it to anyone at any age!

Really beautifully maintained gardens with lots to see. We had no idea what to expect because it was a last minute decision to go. Not cheap but worth it as we spent a good half day there. Being able to have a swim in the waterfall at the end of the walk was a great way to cool down.

We had some time on our hands and found this jewel, it was a very nice walk with beautiful plants from all over the world. If you have the time I would not miss this easy walk to the falls.

Waimea Valley offered a beautiful hike, plenty of shade, educational and interpretive opportunities along the way, and a cool swimming hole at the base of a waterfall. Great for families! Our tween daughter loved the swimming as well as playing some of the old-fashioned games along the way. There is a nominal entrance fee but parking is free. Beautiful gift shop and nice lunch/snack stand.
