Maka's is simply a little local deli. We stopped there on a Sunday morning when not much is open in Kaunakakai. We ordered the breakfast wrap, one with meat, one without. They were great! Had to walk next door for coffee and juice but had the fun of an outside table with rooster and chickens for company. Part of the charm of Molokai.

We have tried the saimin at a couple of places on Molokai and this is the closest to the real thing...but still lacks the great flavour. For some reason, there are few veggies in Molokai saimin...a few shreds of cabbage and that is it....

A good choice for fast on the go food service. All the local favorites with a wide variety of options. Daily specials as well.

Actually, not much choice in Molokai for place to eat. We tried the Molokai Burger which was as nice and here are 3 ladies cooking all fresh for you and we enjoyed the food, however, sitting outside or the ambiente is poor...

Wife and I ate here a couple of times. As has already been pointed out it's one of the few games in town on Sunday. But be aware, the grill closes 30 minutes prior the the "official" closing time. They are willing to deep fry anything during this "grill cleaning window" but you'd better not be expecting anything from the grill. They will set you straight immediately!
Now that having been said, I was somewhat forced into ordering the fried shrimp but this turned out to be a really good thing. I loved 'em! Wife had a chef salad on each visit and said it was delicious.
