We chose this place based on the reviews. I was not quite ready for the experience, as we'd never done a B&B before for a diving trip.
To start, very close to Lahaina so excellent for leaving in the mornings for the diving trips. Parking right out front so no worries there.
As soon as we got there, things just kept getting better and better. A huge, spacious room with a private bathroom & shower, AC and television, with a screened in lanai/porch with a hot tub and small refrigerator. Breakfast was abundant and always ready early, but they offered soft drinks and snacks if you wanted them any time of day, and even refrigerator space and kitchen privileges if you wanted to go that route.
Beach towels available at all times - even a washer and dryer for your use if they weren't using them.
There is a large salt-water pool with ample space to lounge out, a grill if you like for your use, and a large second story deck to lay out on loungers.
Best of all, the owner is a diver and had a huge rinse bucket for the gear and allowed us to dry the items over her fence railing - so no freezing cold wetsuits in the mornings!
I can't state how much we enjoyed staying here - when we come back to diving Maui again, we know where we will be staying. Thanks Tanna and Barbra for everything!

Room tip: I assume the earlier you book the better your room. It's all about availability. Apparently we got the biggest one.

Another visit to the Maui Guest House proved it to be as good as the first few visits.
Everything you may need is provided for you with a smile and the accommodations are clean, comfortable and welcoming.
Beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, umbrellas as well as quality snorkeling gear is all provided (better quality than that often procured from local snorkel shops!)
You wake up to the smell of coffee and platters of fruit and pastries welcome you to the table while the counter provides a buffet of cereals, muffins, bagels and breads to be toasted and slathered with jams, PB or Nutella. Juice and teas are chilling in the refrigerator for your taking.
Tanna and her staff are there to assist in any way, yet you are provided your space so you can enjoy the common areas at your will. The lower deck with small swimming pool, grill, tables, chairs and umbrellas as well as the upper deck offer wonderful opportunities to relax, catch some breeze, sun or moonlight depending on your desire! Or if you just want to enjoy yourself in your room...don’t forget the jacuzzi! It even comes with a rubber ducky!
We just love the Maui Guest House and look forward to another visit with this marvelous group of people who have cared for us over the years.
Thanks for the perfect stay Tanna, Barb, Mark, Christine, Linda and Steve!

Our room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for three adults. We loved the covered lanai to enjoy fresh air and have some privacy and the decor including beautiful stained glass doors. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The staff was friendly and the shared spaces were roomy and inviting.

There was a large group staying there at the same time as us but we never felt crowded. It's a B&B setup so you will mix with other people, but to us meeting other travelers is part of the fun. Breakfast was tasty, with fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, yogurts and more. We didn't get to use the kitchen but it was well stocked with supplies.

Location is a bit outside of downtown but a very short drive, so you get the benefits of being close to activities while enjoying a quieter neighbourhood. Free parking was a great bonus. Our only regret was that we only had two nights to spend in Lahaina!

The guesthouse is ideal if you prefer a home base and not a resort. Was nice having chats with all the friendly staff and it is always great getting local knowledge. Rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable. A jacuzzi in the room which we used a couple of times. We enjoyed sitting out on the verandah in the mornings having breakfast. Parking on site. Use of laundry room should you need it. Beach chairs, beach towels, snorkelling gear. I think they have thought of everything. Highly recommend

Our first time visiting Maui and one of my favorite spots was staying in this guest house. The staff make it so comfortable and enjoyable. We enjoyed talking with Linda and Steve and they were very helpful in recommending places to eat. Christine was very welcoming when we arrived. Barb is a very nice and caring person. Tanna, the owner, is also wonderful. Mark is fun to joke around with! We also met some very friendly people staying there from other countries. We were surrounded by so many nice people that it was so hard to want to leave. The view from the upper deck is beautiful especially in the evenings. We watched the sunset. We have our own hot tub which we used every night. They provided beach chairs and snorkeling gear and beach towels for us which is wonderful to have when you’re traveling and want to go to the beach! We also have use of the kitchen and spices and condiments. We used the grill on the deck one night which is awesome. We also have use of the laundry room which comes in handy. The bedrooms are large and the bed was very comfortable. They also give you lots of pillows which we liked. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. If we ever go back to Maui we will definitely stay there again!
