Had a wonderful time at the Marriott. The staff was very friendly and helpful and responded very well to all requests. If Covid has had a negative effect on Maui you certainly couldn't tell it here. Prompt service and an extremely clean environment were the words of the day. All in all a great vacation.More

We've stayed many times at this resort and it never disappoints. Staff is friendly and very helpful and go out of their way to assist you in whatever you need. The grounds and pool are spectacular and the rooms were clean and well appointed. The only sacrifice to Covid was daily cleaning by the maid service, but in truth we never had them clean everyday anyway...a great place for a vacation.
We have stayed at all the Marriott timeshare resorts on all the Hawaiian islands and this is our least favorite. We did have a very nice 2BR room in the Lanai Towers. Nice view of the ocean. The resort is a little too big for us and is missing that personal feel that the other resorts offer. Really crowded especially at check in. Beach is ok but not great. Have to wait for hours to have a server come to you to order food and drinks. The worst part was the food! It's like eating concession stand food at a ballgame and then paying crazy prices for it. Do not eat the food at the resort! Overall, staff was pretty friendly. If we come back to Maui, we will probably will stay somewhere else.

This is just a dated hotel from the 1980's converted into a vacation club property. It is not up to the standard of Marriott Vacation Club. There are no cooking facilities and no washing machine or dryer. There is no shower. Just a "shower/tub" combination from 1980. Great location for a 2-star room. Marriott front desk staff are polite, but not helpful. I believed that I was reserving a full kitchen and washer dryer which I really wanted for this trip. Restaurant prices on Maui will surely ruin your vacation. Front desk staff did not try to make it right. I was just told to call owner services. Owner services were likewise not helpful. I am very disappointed. I have stayed at many Vacation Club properties. This one does not measure up.

Not once did we feel out of place for booking our stay as guests rather than being a timeshare owner. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted with great customer service and they even checked us in 3 hours early! The beachfront view was amazing! The pools were great for all ages. My 5yo loved the kids area. The pool bar has nice drinks and we’re 2 dollars off for happy hour. Pizza was great. If the food is too expensive you have the choice of walking to whalers beach for the food court or if you feel like cooking they have a gourmet kitchen and grills by the pool to use! They have filtered water dispensers all throughout the resort. Lots of games like life sized chess and checkers, ping pong, billiards etc. The beach was steps away. We watched the sunset every night that we were there. Truly a spectacular place. We’ll definitely visit again!

We reside Upcountry, so we come here often. Great staff, great service, considering the obstacles. The beach is small, but surrounded by other larger beaches.
There are two types of accommodations. Hotel room, land villas where you can get a full kitchen, which makes breakfast in a luxury.
Plenty of things to do locally. Plenty of lawn chairs, beach cabanas, which are not cabanas, but two lounge chairs bolted together with a folding sun shade on top. But right next to the ocean. Good pool bar. Now for the unpleasant part. SOS, SOS. Please, please, please, DO NOT COME TO HAWAII for a while.
We are over run with tourists and COVID, and I am guessing we will go into lockdown shortly. Maui has a population of 165,000 persons. 10,000 arrive daily.
