My family rented units #108, 109, and 110 for a week just before Christmas. We greatly enjoyed our stay in these 3 units. My wife and I stayed in unit #108. #108 was clean, and although small, was a nice size for a couple. It has a sofa sleeper which no one used. The sofa sleepers in the other units were adequate. The location of this property is fantastic as it borders on Honokowai Beach park. We loved snorkeling each morning with the many (> 30) large turtles that would feed on the rocks and reef in the surf line just by the condos. My wife and used shorty wetsuits as it was just a little chilly; my 3 sons however did not use wetsuits. The properties were all clean and well appointed for visitors with cooking items etc. Beach towels were included. Required cleanup was minimal as they hire professional cleaners to get rid of the sand between users. At times we were aware of the road noise on the busy street, but it didn't bother us at night at all. The speed limit on the road is 20 mph, so even with lots of traffic it wasn't a bother. We loved being close to the Farmer's Market and other strip mall type shops nearby. It was about 5 miles into Lahaina which we loved exploring, and finding places to eat there. The fantastic Kaanapali beach was just down the coast (an easy 5 min drive); we found great snorkeling there where we saw lots of fish and turtles. I asked my family (in the other 2 units) if they had anything negative to say, and they were unanimous in saying they loved staying in Hale Kai, and would return here without any qualms.
