If you’re looking for a resort, the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel is not it. If you’re looking for a clean, quaint, beach hotel the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel might be for you.

We just finished our first trip to Maui, stayed at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, and had a wonderful time. After staying st higher end resorts in Mexico and other places, the rooms at Ka’anapali left some to be desired. They were clean and met the needs, but they were not extravagant. We had a partial ocean view room that had sliding glass doors that opened to our patio-we really enjoyed that feature.

Our package included a free daily breakfast. We went to the buffet once and found it to be crowded, so we didn’t return. That was the only meal that we ate at the hotel.

We were able to reserve a beach front cabana daily (for a $40 dollar fee) and really enjoyed that. The beach was nice and not too crowded. All of the staff members that we encountered were kind and helpful.

The hotel is walking distance to Whaler’s Village, which has shopping and dining. We liked the proximity to that.

Friendly place right on the water. They provide an authentic Hawaiian experience. Great cultural programs, including ukulele, lei-making and hula lessons. It was very nice to sit back and enjoy the nightly entertainment provided.

Hotel location was awesome-Rooms were acceptable-Any issues we fixed immediately-the concierge was OK-
I welcome breakfast was average,The church service was amazing. We would stay there again
We did not eat at the hotel as they had limited selection, Pool small and they required bands for us on one day.
We were able to walk around the grounds . Landscaping needs attention.Outside needs update,
Rooms could use updates,

It is nice to return to a familiar hotel with excellent service and amenities and long-term employees. Since my wife is blind, this aspect was important to us. This is not a fancy resort hotel but it has everything that matters. Its mission to better represent Hawaiian culture is commendable.

Stayed here with family 3/26-4/6/2018 and it was great. Pool is great, live music a few nights, torch lighting each night. The room was comfortable, parked our rental car near our 2nd floor room, pickle ball and tennis stuff to borrow for free, the beds were great for adults and kids, price was right and best of all internet was fast, so I could still check in on work when needed. Highly recommend for family and if you want to get away from the big hotels and save some scratch.
