The hotel is located on a resort beach strip -- one of the best locations in Maui. Lots of activities in and around the area (walk on the beach, snorkeling at Big Rock, surf lessons, good restaurants and shopping at the Whalers Village next door), with Lahaina just a few minutes away. It is obviously not a five star, and rooms are more like a 3 star (e.g. old TV, pay for safe, limited selection of coffee/tea), but is more than adequate. We took an ocean-view room, which was basically facing the hotel grounds, but you could see the ocean quite well to the left.
Employees were very friendly, and service was quite nice. The breakfast buffet was okay, but did not change at all through the week we were there. The daily shows were good, and worth watching once.
Would recommend to anyone who is going to explore Maui, and does not plan spend all the time in the hotel.
