Hotel is on the South end of Kihei (North end of Wailea) and is on one of the nicest beaches in Maui. Room was very small, not fancy but clean. Would be best for a one or two nite stay . You are usually only in your room to sleep and shower before going out for dinner so the small size is not a major drawback. The office staff were very friendly and answered our many questions. A/C worked fine but was kind of loud. Coffee maker and small refrigerator were in the room.
The biggest plus for this location is the proximity to the various Kihei and Wailea beaches. The beach at the hotel is as nice as any in the area and that's saying a lot . The best snorkeling is at the North side of the beach by the rocky area. We saw plenty of fish and turtles. Best time to snorkel is the early morning as the waves tend to get larger and water murkier as the day passes. Be careful of the waves as they can push you into the rocks if you are not careful. Water was very clear and waves were fine for boogie boarding. Some shaded area also on the Beach's North .
Overall the room was fine and location excellent, but don't expect the Grand Wailea!More
