We got in off a 7 hour flight and were moderately hungry, having refused air fare. Using our GPS we drove to this location but couldn't see any signage. Turned around looked from the other side and finally saw a small sign. Then had to turn around again and park in the adjoining business' parking lot. Great food, my Chile Verde was very good and the wife had roast pork and gravy. Large servings and excellent service made this an enjoyable first taste of Maui.

As a local, I’ve eaten here many times. I’m not sure what it is about this place, but it just makes me smile. Everyone there is gracious, helpful and patient to a fault. It doesn’t hurt that the food is authentic and delicious. Ok, it’s tiny and the outdoor picnic table seating isn’t especially luxe, but still well worth the stop. Located in a business area of downtown kahului and parking is a challenge, but you will probably appreciate a walk after lunch anyway. Don’t forget to ask for the habanero hot sauce - homemade and the real deal.

Let's establish our credentials first. We're from texas- we know a good salsa and corn tortilla when we eat one. This place is so legit. The fish was absolutely buttery and perfect, the salsas were so fresh and flavorful, the tortillas spot on- we'll be talking about this place indefinitely. A little spot with outdoor tables, nothing fancy, but the food is stellar. Had we discovered it on our way in, we would have been back daily during our stay on the island. Recommend it in conjunction with coming in and out of the airport, and on visits to the Iao needle. A perfect stop for lunch!

Stopped here on our way to the airport and it was a great, authentic Mexican restaurant. There is some seating inside and outside. Service was good, and the food was yummy. A fresh tamale and fish taco were just right. The burrito was huge and delicious. Appeared to be family owned.
