Enjoyed the ribs, potato/macaroni salad, rice and corn. The ribs were fine to perfection and fell off the bone. The potato/macaroni salad was very tasty and the rice cooked the way I like it! People are great and very welcoming. Great place to stop on this long trip for a tasty bite

This was our lunch break on our road to Hana day. It was really easy to find as there are little signs on the main road pointing you in the right direction. There was ample parking and they have a location right by the shore. We all got the standard chicken plate that came with their award winning chicken, potato Mac, rice, cupcake and a drink. The ladies working were so friendly and eager to answer any questions even though the menu is pretty simple. They do have a couple picnic tables and some regular tables but some of the chairs have literally no bottoms left. So eat in your car or right on the beach if you can’t find a suitable seat. There was also a porta potty which on this road was a rare find. I loved their potato Mac and found it to be the best I had on the trip and of course the chicken was amazing! You can watch them cook up the chicken and ribs too.

I come to Hana once a year, and have tried many lunch spots over the years, but none have been memorable...until now. I saw the Trip Advisor reviews for this place, and give it a try. I now have a favorite Hana lunch spot, Huli Huli Chicken! I was the first arrival for the day, and wanted to try the chicken and rib combo plate. Unfortunately, the ribs needed 30 more minutes to cook, but that was no problem as there is a red sand beach that I explored while I waited. The 1/4 chicken and the dry cooked ribs (sauce available after cooking if you want) were succulent and smoky and oh so good. The plate came with a small salad and a scoop of white rice for $16. There were a number of dressings and condiments available. This place is not plush, but they did have porta-potties and a clean water wash area, and also hand sanitizer. The family running the stand and the bbq chef were friendly and were fun to talk to. I will be back here next year for another Combo plate, and maybe a second one to take home.

I was told about this place by locals. You will see the signs on your way up Hana Highway but it actually doesn't tell you where it is. It's on the little Beach just passed Hana town and you can almost find it by the smell of the kiawe smoke coming from the grill. I stopped in here for lunch and almost had to take a nap before I went back to work. I believe this is one of the largest plate lunches I've ever had on the island. You get a half of a chicken the best Mac salad I've ever had and they even give you a little brownie cupcake which I've never seen on a plate lunch on any of the islands I visited. Once you get your lunch you can go down and sit on the beach which I believe is called Kiko Beach. They were recently going to be on a TV program on Food Channel but they had to cancel because of the road shut down to Hana. As much as they would probably like more business, I think it was Karma that made this happen because this please needs to remain Hana's little secret
