“Suited our needs just fine...”

Since Jessica (Manager) and Zoe (Mother of Jessica?) haven't messaged me on the Homeaway app since I returned I thought I'd review their property here.

My sister and I spent 1 week in this condo July 2016. The Princeville location was great...almost at the end of the neighbourhood drive near the St Regis, surrounded by golf courses and other vacation rentals and lush gardens. Very close to grocery and a short drive to Hanalei. The photos are true but for the main floor bed canopy (gone) and the bedding. Also, there are no balcony cushions for their plastic lounge chairs.

Parking is a bit of an issue as the spaces are well numbered (paint fades so it's a guessing game even for Property Mgr Bruce) and rules were not given before we arrived. Here they are: open parking anywhere until 5PM and then in your spot overnight; if someone takes your spot don't take someone else's b/c you'll get a notice taped to your car window or be fined/towed. Bruce is hard to reach and goes to bed early so when you need him after 5PM you might find him.

The unit itself is very clean and other than the shower needing an update everything was in working order and fairly new. The stairs to the loft were precarious but manageable and the TV with cable worked fine. It was great to have stacked laundry in the kitchen even if you're only permitted 3 loads/week. We thought this was more than plenty but once you go hiking or to the beach in Kauai there's a lot of clothes/towels to wash! We stuck to our permitted 3. There were a few spices/pantry items when we arrived and we left a few more. Also, paper products and soaps are available too. One nice touch was the foyer bench where a basket of small towels was left for our unit and the one next door so we could wipe our feet before entering the unit. No A/C but lots of windows and fans for breeze. A bit of mold on the ceiling of the covered porch but since it was fairly rainy our week we didn't spend any time out there.

It was great to have a better budget option in pricey Princeville and it was a lovely home base for our trip. We would return to Kauai for sure and I'd recommend this condo. Happy to answer about things to do in this neighbourhood and elsewhere on Kaua'i!

How easy was it to book the property? How easy was key pickup/access to the property?
Overall condition of the property Bedding & mattresses
Kitchen & utensils Bathroom cleanliness
Other facilities & amenities Service
Liked best: location and comfy pillows
Liked least: light in foyer burnt out and outer door blocks all sun so entering unit day or night was a hassle.
